VTCT NVQ Level 3 Electrotherapy

The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Facial Electrotherapy is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to provide facial electrical treatments. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment, how to promote client care and communication in beauty related industries, how to apply microdermabrasion techniques and the study of dermatology and microbiology. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.

DAY ONE & TWO

Day 1
10:15am – welcome & introduction
11:00am – we will cover microbiology theory and practical where we will swab for bacteria, we will be covering the theory and practical of all machines galvanic, microdermabrasion, faradic, high frequency, vacuum suction and microcurrent.
12pm – demonstration of treatments on model, where you will also practice yourself
1:30pm – lunch
2pm – more demonstration and practice on models
5pm – finish, Q&A

Day 2
10:15am – welcome & introduction
10:30am – we will carry on practicing with the machines and anything we didn’t cover on your first day
12am – models to practice on
1:30pm – lunch
2pm – more models to practice on
5pm – finish, Q&A

DAY TWO & THREE

Day 3
10:15am – welcome & introduction
10:30am – microbiology and microdermabrasion exam
12am – models for assessment
1:30pm – lunch
2pm – models for assessment
5pm – finish Q&A

10:15am – welcome & introduction
10:30am – facial electrical paper 1 & paper 2 exams
12am – models for assessment
1:30pm – lunch
2pm – models for assessment
5pm – finish Q&A
